Alaska meets Kentucky. I can remember the day Katie called and said “Remember me? I was one of Ashley’s bridesmaids and I am getting married!” She continued to tell me that no one agreed that she needed a day of coordinator but she was determined to enjoy HER day! We sat down to discuss plans as she was planning her wedding here but from her home in Florida! They were only making ONE more trip to Kentucky before the wedding so she wanted someone here to help with things, follow up on things and lead them in the right direction during their wedding weekend.
Through emails, texts and phone calls we finalized colors, decor, timelines, invite wording and ideas, transportation for guests, hotels and so much more. Some were making their first trip to Kentucky ever and everyone wanted to make sure they were welcomed the true “Kentuckian” way.
Their wedding weekend was amazing. It was held at the beautiful Fasig-Tipton. In July it was decided that the ceremony was to be inside the sales pavilion so the weather wouldn’t cause stress while planning.
It was amazing and beautiful in there that day. Immediately following the ceremony the guests were treated to “cocktails” in the walking ring behind the pavilion.
Once K & G caught their breath and had a private moment to themselves we entered the dining room for a buffet meal! Personal touches added to the evening, her sorority sisters singing to her, their new monogram behind the cake, engagement pictures placed throughout the room, signing wine bottles for them at 1, 5, 10, 25 year anniversaries, a best friend from high school stealing the mic and rapping for everyone, but the best thing was a hand painted window for their new home! It was beautiful. (Can’t share due to last name sorry)
The fun filled reception even had a dance train lasting 2 whole songs and circling the room twice!!!
Thanks to all of the wonderful vendors that made K & G’s wedding memorable!
